Research & Evaluation Projects

As an experienced and CORU-registered social worker with over 15 years in statutory and community-based roles, I offer robust expertise in service/programme evaluations, applied social research, and collaborative report writing. I bring a strong skill set in facilitating collaborative evaluation, developed through working alongside multi-discipline teams to review service delivery, build their capacity for reflective practice, and to co-develop frameworks for service improvement.

My work is trauma-informed and grounded in rights-based values, with a special focus on creating ethical and research-evaluation processes that are outcomes-focused. I specialise in facilitating a mixed-methods approach that empowers teams to integrate qualitative stories with quantitative data, synthesising their collective insights into a clear, evidence-informed model that they can own and use for future service planning.

What Works in Research

To do social research well, a few key ingredients are essential. Working together is vital, as it allows different people to bring their unique skills and viewpoints to the table, making the final result much stronger. You also need clear thinking and a solid project plan from the start. So you know exactly what question you're trying to answer and how you'll find them.

Things rarely go perfectly to plan, so being flexible and willing to change your approach when needed is crucial. Most importantly, good research must be based on grounded-analysis; meaning that your conclusions come from what you actually see and hear in the real world and are actionable. .
